Sister Margaret Schreiber is a pastoral associate at Holy Family Parish in Lincoln, Ill. She holds a doctorate in Sacred Theology from Catholic University and has taught liturgy there, at Marian University, and has shared her passion for liturgy with her Springfield Dominican sisters and associates.

  • Eucharist is a noun and a verb, in a sense. The act of participation is Eucharist focuses on four verbs: gathering, listening, giving thanks, sending. 
  • Sung alleluias are a nonverbal way of giving thanks. 
  • Stay in touch with the gift of gratitude for God. 
  • Mass is Eucharist. Thanksgiving Day is eucharistic.
